I’m sending this out to everyone who may happen to be reading this post. I want to recommend a TV documentary that is non-partisan and apolitical. So whether you are a never Trumper or Trump lover, you are going to want to see this program. I think it is the most important, poignant and everyday life significant documentary of our time. If we were living in the 1950s, it would be mandatory viewing in the north and south, for all public school children 5th grade and up.
The documentary was aired on Public Television’s Frontline on 11 / 5 / 2019 and is titled In The Age of AI. It is a two-hour long documentary and deals with everything you would possibly want to know about artificial intelligence and how it affects our lives now, and how it will affect us on into the future. While it discusses all these things in great depth, the thing that most impressed me was an issue they raised about how our thinking has been influenced by AI. We all operate on the premise that we have naturally evolved into having the beliefs and principles we all live by and are sometimes willing to passionately defend, as a results of our personal interactions with friends, family and foes. It turns out that much of what we believe to be our thinking, (particularly in recent years), may have actually been implanted in our minds by people with their own personal agendas.
I’m not going to say any more about it because I don’t want to turn anyone off by my personal spin on the subject. If you are an American, and you care about the quality of life our country will experience in the immediate and distant future, you are going to want to see this program.
